FAQs

Where is the festival located?

Our festival is located in beautiful Estes Park, Colorado--home of Rocky Mountain National Park at Stanley Park, on the South side of Lake Estes.

380 Community Drive, Estes Park, Colorado 80517

Is there on-site camping?

Yes!

Campers can arrive onsite at 2 pm for lineup on Thursday afternoon. The line will be let in for setting up at 3 pm.

Campers must vacate by Monday at 11 am. There are no electrical or water hookups. There are no shower facilities but there are restrooms. The Rec center is nearby and day passes can be purchased for using their facilities. They have showers, a pool, a hot tub and all the features of a gym. There is also a laundromat on Hwy 7 that has showers for a fee.

Are there special hotel rates?

SnowyGrass is held in the middle of Estes Park's busiest tourist season. Hotels and other places of lodging get booked full early in the year, sometimes. They are not able to offer discounts in the summer. We do recommend the following hotels:

Estes Park Condos

Rams Horn Village Resorts

Murphy's Resort

What is the seating like for General Admission?

Lawn Seating. Bring your own chair or blanket or tarp. We'll have a place in the back for high-backed chairs and prefer low-backed chairs in the front. There will be reserved spaces for 10x10 canopies for our major sponsors, but allow for first come first serve placement of canopies behind that. See our festival grounds layout.

VIP passes may be purchased as add-ons to access the backstage area where some seating is provided.

What items are prohibited?

All unsealed containers with liquids must be emptied before entering the festival area. We do not allow guns or knives within the perimeters of our privately owned and permitted event. NO OUTISIDE ALCOHOL. Bags and person will be checked upon entry.

Are outside alcohol and food allowed?

It is illegal in the State of Colorado for you to bring in outside alcohol. A bar will be available with local beer, wine and spirits.

A variety of food trucks will be available on-site for your convenience. It is not strictly prohibited to bring in outside food, but we encourage you to purchase from our vendors.

Where do we park?

The nearby Events Complex has free, all-day parking. It is a short .5 mile walk down to the festival grounds.

Vehicles with visible ADA permits will be allowed to park on-site.

On-site parking is included with Camping Add-On passes and VIP add ons.

Please Note: Estes Park does not allow overnight parking or sleeping in your vehicle anywhere without permit. Your camping add-on will permit you to camp overnight in our temporary campground for 4 nights.

Is this a "picking" festival?

There will be plenty of opportunities to pick if you are camping! The spacious grounds will have many places to jam, and it is far away from residences and lodging.

You can also pick during the festival anywhere outside of the festival grounds. Stanley Park is quite large. Keep in mind that the majority of the park will still be open to the public. You may get an audience!
